Eating healthy is an essential part of a person maintaining a healthy lifestyle and living a long and healthy life. Vegetables are not only extremely nutritious, but many also have very limited calories and can be very filling as well. Vegetables tend to be very versatile as they can easily be incorporated into just about any meal. The fact that many vegetables are water based also make them more filling and nutritious without packing on the pounds and excessive amount of calories and fat.

Fish is something that a person who wants to have a healthy diet should eat as well. Fish is very nutritious and has a lot of omega 3 fats which are essential for a person. While fish is great and delicious, a person should eat it in moderation, as there are such things as too much of a good thing.

Nuts are a great thing for a person on healthy diet to eat as a snack. They are loaded with vitamins and nutrients as well as fiber and are, therefore pretty filling. Any person looking to eat more nuts should definitely consider almonds, they are one of the best kinds of nuts available.

Chicken is another great healthy diet staple food. Chicken can be made in a vast array of different ways, all of which can be extremely healthy and tasty. Chicken can be placed in things or eaten alone, both of which would create a satisfying meal for any person.

Eating healthy is not impossible and with a little know how and effort a person can have a healthier diet without sacrificing taste.
